About

Meet Carol

Carol Heady is founder and president of Learning and Performance Solutions, a company she founded in 2002 to bring high quality customer service training to mid-sized companies. Her passion was to help smaller companies provide the same level of service as their bigger, corporate counterparts. Over time Carol evolved the company to provide managers with the skills to coach and lead their employees to sustain long term results and desired change in behaviors–impacting individual and organizational performance.


A professional trainer, facilitator and executive coach, Carol is fiercely passionate about leadership development, particularly helping women succeed. Early in her career she had the opportunity to go through an executive development program and it was life changing. Seeing how much that experience empowered her and helped her become a successful leader, she has made it her mission to help as many other women develop their leadership skills through her coaching and transformative training programs. To support this mission, Carol founded Leadership Chicks, programs designed to help develop leadership potential with Millennial Female Leaders. 

Carol often shares training, teaching and coaching is in her DNA. Early in life she knew she wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Even though that was side stepped for an early career in financial services, she followed the desire to teach and gets to do what she loves to do every day–training and coaching others to reach their full potential, while helping companies develop effective leaders and deliver exceptional customer service. 


Prior to founding Learning and Performance Solutions, Carol held multiple corporate training and development positions at major companies including M & T Bank, MetLife, Ethan Allen Inc., and Cablevision Systems Inc. In addition to her human resource development experience, she has an extensive background in customer service and operations having worked in financial services for 14 years.


Carol obtained her M.S. in Organizational Management and Human Resource Development from Manhattanville College, where she taught a graduate course in corporate training and development for eight years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. She earned her coaching training from the leading global provider of coach training programs, Coach U and her executive coaching certification from Center of Executive Coaching. Carol is a certified facilitator for three international training companies: Achieve GlobalDevelopment Dimensions International (DDI) and Omega Performance Inc. In addition, she is a certified practitioner in Emotional Intelligence (EI) from Genos International; and a certified DiSC practitioner from Assessments 24x7.


Carol is co-author of the book, Turning Rants Into Raves: Turn Your Customers on Before They Turn on YOU! She is a contributing author to Women as Leaders: Strategies for Empowerment, The New Female Leader and Communication and Group Coaching: A Comprehensive Blueprint.
